Swamp
Hello guys,
I want to make a small swamp on my layout, but I'm not sure how to, especially a slime on a water. Any idea? I've been looking for but I have not found anything useful yet.
Thanks in advance,

Ideas for sourcing n-scale aggregate semi/trailer
Does anyone have a lead on any manufactures which might produce something similar to this aggregate semi/trailer in n-scale?
I see these all over the place down here in the Hill Country portion of Texas coming out of the quarries.
Any clever ideas on scratch building the trailer (toilet paper tube maybe)?
Thanks,
- Brandon
The Snow Diorama
Friends, I would like to present my new Snow Diorama, build by my Friend Stefan Foerg.
When I've some free time, I love to visit the Railpictures.net Archive to find new Ideas for future Dioramas. One of my dreams was to have a snow covered Diorama for some nice Winter action. I've found many cool picture on the Railpictures Website and two of them where exactly what I was looking for.
Mrs. Schnebley's Sauerkraut: A 1/87 scratchbuild based on Earl Smallshaw's classic "Perkins Produce"
This is a work in progress.
The main structure is built following Earl Smallshaw's 1/87 scale drawings that were published in the December, 1974, issue of Model Railroader magazine.
Here are some current progress images of my build ...
this trackside elevation (below), including the roof, remains to be completed and detailed.
Modern paper/cardstock structures
As some of you know, I am working on a $500 budget layout, and right now, and I am down to $31, with more to disappear soon.
What kit would work for a mining machinery company circa 1950?
Without being a sprawling monster, what kit would work well for a mining machinery company? The location will be somewhat rural and the building wouldn't be a fabricator, but a receiver. Think pumps, large bull-wheels, that sort of thing.

Modeling with Gatorfoam ACTUAL MODEL PICTURES
These are some pictures I use in my Gatorfoam® (GF) clinics. My clinics revolve around my experiences with using GF for firm, lightweight, mostly benchwork and control panel uses.
Dave Myers is nice enough to lend me some of his actual HO models to bring to my presentations. Dave has won awards for some of his work, including 1st place at the last NER meeting in Syracuse, NY, for his Johnson Woolen Mill diorama. When you see the picture below notice, that with Gatorfoam®, dioramas don't just sit on the shelf but become part of the layout.
