The 3D Printed N-Scale Union Station Project Continues - Parts 2 & 2A
After a lot of measurements and a couple of test prints, the center section of the main station building was glued together and test fit to the lower level and then to the passenger waiting room building. This way, the waiting room structure can be taken off of the layout separately from the main station building. The video above shows what that looks like.
Berlin 1929 - The Corner House On The Bülowstrasse.
I've been in bed for a couple of weeks, and am only just coming round, so apologies for not having posted for a while. A few things have been happening, and I am keeping a photo record for the point at which it's worth sharing.
What I did want was a corner house for the Bülowstrasse buildings and the stadtbahn that passes through them. This is how it looked in 1905; the photo is from Wikipedia (German).
Regardless of scale is it not all about the scene and the story it tells?
Some experimenting
Whenever I go over to the weathering shop I get all amped up to rust something. This time I actually followed through and rusted up one of those old cheap Tyco trailers.
Static grass and Bushes
I stumbled across this Site from France, shows some great looking grasses and bushes all made using static grass. He uses some sort of resin material for the base that he claims helps to carry the static charge throughout. Would probably ship here, but it is a bit expensive. I like how he creates branching effects with the static grass.
3D printed Colorado Stamp mill in HO
Hi all! It's been a while.. but here's my latest build:
A Stamp mill in HO scale for my HOn3 layout.
I've made it from plans in the "Old wood and stone buildings" book.
I CAD converted the drawn plans and as I have a 3D printer, I printed the timber frame, windows, doors, smoke stack and loading platform.
I then covered the frame with Northeastern wood and the roof with cardboard covered with surgical tape.
The stays for the smokestack are made of piano wire.
Weekly Photo Fun 4/28-5/4
