How to Paint Docks

Seaside Carnival OBD 2

It all starts somewhere. And this time it starts with a kit that I am ill prepared to build. I have very little experience with plastic kits and this is not really the kit I should start with. But I will.

I imagine this kit will take months for me to build. As it stands, it looks like I will have to paint and weather 1200+ parts. That is part of the fun though. Gives me something to do while I put OBD 1 aside for awhile to reset some plans. Two more videos are in cue for OBD 1, I have a problem scheduling videos, Hate to have them private, I'm weird, I know.

Block signals

Has anyone used the  Azatrax TS2 block signal control board. It looks like a good product. I have sent them 2 e-mails trying to get more info but so far no reply. Are they still in business? Any help is appreciated.

Anyone ever made a "Post Rock" fence?

I want to create an HO scale "post rock" barbed wire fence. Has anyone attempted such a thing in any scale?

In the late 1800's limestone fence posts were used in Central Kansas because there was almost no wood available. Some of these fences exist today. I see the post rocks as an iconic feature of the region.

You can Google "Post Rock Kansas" and find pictures and information on this kind of fencing.

Up-Date, The great Puff Ball Debate

Scenery Up-date Puff Ball Debate

Here is some up-dated scenery.... I wasn't liking the Puff Ball look so I switched over to Woodland Scenics Clump Foliage (see previous post). That too, didn't create the look I wanted. So here is my latest attempt.

You're on Camera - Security Camera Build

Hi MRH,

I wanted to share a quick how-to for making security cameras. These are modeled after the older style cameras commonly seen.

Parts:

0.040 styrene for the base

a staple for the arm

a piece of 0.060 round rod styrene for the camera body (spare parts, plastic sprue, or tubes work too!)

a piece of paper for the camera hood

clear lens for the camera glass( I had some small lens left over from a switch stand kit)

Litter

I'm trying to find out what would be typical litter seen in the mid nineteen-fifties especially around a team track or even near a depot.

Has anyone made litter in HO scale?
