After a lot of measurements and a couple of test prints, the center section of the main station building was glued together and test fit to the lower level and then to the passenger waiting room building.  This way, the waiting room structure can be taken off of the layout separately from the main station building. The video above shows what that looks like.

The printed model was then moved back to the layout for a test installation.  This had to be done since the main portion building had gotten a little bit wider than the originally planned use of the Walther’s Union Station kit.  The two siding tracks (not shown) for the milk dock that are on the left side of the main station had to be trimmed back an 1 1/2” for the building to fit.  Then a test was done with two of the Turtle Creek Central’s RDC-2s pushing/pulling the cube+ camera on its flat car into Union Station and under the waiting room building.  The video below shows the two test runs.  Some lighting is now being planned for under the building as the project continues.
