Does anyone know how to remove the motor from a PROTO BL2?

I need to get to the lower motor wire lead to put a new wire in - because i cut it off and did not realize it

I'm the midst of painting a NW/NS C39-8 as originally delivered. (In fact, I'm aiming for 8551, which was one of the two C39-8 prototypes, apparently bought by NS.) The model has a cab with details. What colors should they be painted?

I've never been in a modern GE. I know that older C&O Geeps have a "hospital green" interior, and I have a picture of a N&W T-6 cab that was kind of cream colored for the most part. But in general this is something I've never, ever thought about before!

Surprise, Surprise.  Now a little background/details.  A little over a year age, I purchased a brand new Bachmann GE 44 Ton Switcher (HO scale on DCC layout) from my LHS. Due to a glitch in the website, I picked it up for $12.95.  Being a noob, I didn't know much about product, about the problems and how terrible it would run, but I couldn't pass it up for the price.

It's WAY past the time I'm planning on modeling, but I was thinking it might be nice to decorate it as an anniversary car for my Great North Central so I have something both modern and unique for running on modern layouts.  When did these cars come out?  I am SEVERELY lacking in references to modern railroads.
