missing L shaped window from SD45t-2
Bought this locomotive this weekend NIB. However, it was missing the L shaped window from an Athearn SD45t-2 Cotton belt loco. It appears to be one of the older models. Opened the box to inspect the loco, noticed missing window. I emailed Athearn regarding replacements, but haven't heard back yet.
Can I get one from them or simply make my own? Has anyone made one of these before and how to do so? How can I glue it back inside the cab without the fogging of glues like crazy glue or similar ones?

Not enough steam modeling in MRH?
Recently we've received some readers who are feeling MRH isn't covering modeling steam very well, and they're coming up cold.
So I'm posting this to the broader audience. Do you agree or disagree?

Con Cor Amtrak Superliners
I've picked up a handful of the Con Cor HO scale Phase 2 superliners. The outside detailing is good, but it's that hollow inside that gets me. I do have plans of stripping the Amtrak silver and re painting these cars for a project I have planned.

Atlas GP40-2W decoder issue
I was using a sound equipped Atlas GP40-2W along with a sound equipped Athearn GP38-2W to pull a demonstration train during a layout tour last weekend. There was also a non-sound decoder equipped Overland M420 being used.

This is really amazing work, and the photos provide a VERY detailed look at steam locomotive innards. This post focuses on the firebox supports, trucks, journals, and some frame work. This is truely the most the complete rebuild I've been familiar with.
Side frames

I want to weather silver side frames (UP diesel). Any idea how to? I have some photos of prototype and want to see how you done.

Inter mountain SD45t-2. ditch lights want to add them. N scale
Scooped 3 of these off Ebay for cheap. They run well and I would like to replace the stadard LED on them to a better one and add ditch lights. Can it be done? The head light comes on when running forward and the rear ligts only when running backward. Should they be on all the time or leave as is?
LED suggestions?
Ditch lights. Guess I'll have to drill new holes for them, but what can I use for LED's? Has anyone done his before? I"m going to run them on a table layout so DC will be the power supply.
Suggestions?
