New Railpro Software. Anyone using the new features that you pay for yet?
I see that RailPro has released some new software to upload your own files to the handheld device. Has anyone purchased the Railpro Assistant feature enable yet? if you have, how well does it work? I don't have a layout built yet, but wanted to get the items needed so I could just start once I have the time.
So do I really need the extra pay for software? Does anyone else use it and what do you think of it?
I like the idea of being able to load specific sounds for the device, but just need to ask a few more questions.
Thanks.
how do you install a Tsunami in a blueline T1
Hi
I've been given a BLI Blueline PRR T1 with duel decoders, it runs very well but the volume is extremely high, probably set to the default. I contacted BLI about the procedure to turn it down, they were most helpful but after hours of trying to reduce the volume without success it seems the easiest approach would be to install a Tsunami sound decoder.

Smoke generator questions.....
I'm about ready to start designing a Hobo camp scene on my layout. Probably over done these days but I've got to have one. I bought a "fire kit" and got some appropriate hobos and thought that maybe that should do it but then I remembered something I had in my junk box.
What size wire?
Hi,
I have a Kato SD40-2 loco with damaged wires which I need to replace from truck pickup to the Soundtraxx decoder , can anyone suggest the correct wire size.
Soundtraxx uses 28 awg but I am having a hard time finding any.
Any recommendations for wire size and where to purchase small quantities, as I do not need 100' rolls!
Thanks for help in advance.

Current Keeper vs TCS KA
Hey, quick questions gents. Has anyone replaced the Soundtrax Current Keeper with a TCS KA keep alive wired to a new Tsunami decoder with the Current Keeper quick plug?
From the Tsunami instructions it appears to show the polarity of the current keeper in relation to the plug orientation. Assuming the schematic is correct, then the TCS KA should be able to be soldered to the male plugs on the Tsunami current keeper slot. I'd rather not blow both decoder and TCS KA.
Best,
Rob
Flat or Grades
As I'm planning my layout I was wondering how many modelers have flat layouts with just bench work and a top compared to more open grid with risers and stuff to make the grades. Currently I have my around the wall bench work done with pink foam just laid on top of it as I have not glued it down.

Looking for ideas how to paint staging yard deck black that has track laid on it
So I am putting this thread in the "Track" Forum, since my primary concern is how to deal with the track in this situation. (NOTE TO MODERATOR: Feel free to move it to a different forum if you feel it is appropriate.)

Using One Booster for all Staging Yards - Good or Bad Idea?
First, some specifics to provide adequate context.
There are two decks of Staging. Each deck has 3 staging yards, so there are a total of 6 "yards". Each yard has 8 tracks. This had to be done as the max depth of my decks where staging can be located is 18" so 8 tracks (with one track acting as a "main" to connect all three yards together, results in the "Staging Yard" for each end (the North and South ends) being broken up into three smaller yards. Hopefully, I have not lost you so far.

ESU LokProgrammer Help
I have been installing a Loksound Select Direct Decoder into an Atlas GP 38.
To assist with this I decided to buy the ESU Loksound Programmer.
The decoder install was straightforward but I am having one or two problems with getting the right functions to work on the right buttons (using a Digitrax DCS100 & DT402 Throttle).
