Diesel locos
Athearn Genesis Parts,.....(fuel tank molding)
Has anyone had experiences trying to get parts for an Athearn Genesis engine?
I recently purchased online a Genesis FP45 diesel loco in HO scale. The seller failed to tell me it was missing the fuel tank molding. Can I get one?
HO “Bedside & Hinged” Switching Layout
I found the MRH site accidentally a few days ago while searching for Track Plans for a very small HO switching layout that I've decided to build while away from home working. Kind of cool that a Google Search got me here via a picture of a track plan on Pinterest! I have a tiny room/office at my away place in Vancouver where I stay with a family. I'm hoping by documenting this, it might inspire other space challenged modelers to get building.

Re-motoring an engine
Howdy! I have a couple old steam and diesel locos that I'd like to re-motor with can motors, but I have no idea where to begin. How does one figure out what motor to use, and where can I buy them? I'm assuming new gearing is required, how does one go about that?
Thanks!
Locomotive spinning its wheels
I have an oval in my office where I run an N scale train. I have 27 cars and 2 identical Bachmann GP40 locos running back to back. It's been running mostly fine for a while but today the lead loco started stalling and spinning its wheels when it came to one curved section of the flat track. So I know it isn't an electrical problem. I turn the power up and it just spins faster. I cleaned the wheels of the locos and it doesn't make a difference. The track is all the same, so not sure why it's picking this particular section to have issues.

Georgia Road Charity livery
Finally completed a project that had been put on the back burner for a bit.
I am not an HO modeller so picked this Atlas B23-7 up for the project, not a great work of super detail art but hopefully gets the message across. Well done to Georgia Road for supporting the cancer charities. Even my wife thought, you are painting a locomotive PINK!
