Looking for Bachmann Donor - 44/70 Ton 2-motor

I just picked up two disassembled 1st generation (2-motor) Bachmann GE 44 tonners, and have enough parts to have made one complete runner. The only thing preventing me from getting the second one going is the lack of the 8/13 compound gear that connects the motor's worm gear to the drive axle gear.

So, I'm looking for a donor 1st generation 44 or 70 tonner for parts. I'll take a complete chassis with trucks, or just a single truck, just so long as I can get that part out of it. I don't care about cracked drive axle gears, missing wheels, etc.

PA Scale Models help FM H16-44

Hi,

I'm looking for a powered underframe for the subject engine.  It's diecast and now and again NIB (Bowser) ones are on Ebay.  I saw the frame no. and it's 42000. Not an Athearn no. I think but looks like one.  Bowser said that they made a frame for the engine a while back but can't help.  The motor on the underframe I saw has brass flywheels but I can't find anything like it.  I picked up a 41018 (not here yet), from an Athearn S12 or SW/7.  The SW/1000 frame is not compatible.

Any comments appreciated,

Walthers Vs. BLI Plymouth Loco

How does the BLI Plymouth compare to the Walthers Plymouth?

How much do they each weigh? Does one run better than the other? Does one have better detail than the other?

The White Lion Railways, our first trains

(The day a wild animal became the leader of a railway, from left to right, Otto, Greenstar, and Driver) The day is July 13th, 2017, and there is a meeting going down on Northfolk and Southern railroad territory.  It is between NS CEO, Mr. Monte, and the white lion, Greenstar, along with his two personal employees, Driver(real name, Kevin, prefers to go by Driver), and and his guard, Otto.

DD40AX Truck issues

Hey all,

So I've gotten pretty deep after being back in the hobby for a month.

I purchased an older Bachmann DD40AX, but it came is terrible condition mechanically.

UV cured epoxy, a little story.....

Found out something interesting today.  A while ago I wanted to try UV activated epoxy.  I’ve got some in my mouth and it seems to want to stay there so I figured it might be handy.  I ordered the cheapest thing I could find on eBay coming from China and waited for it to arrive.  When it did I tried dripping some on a part and then shining the light from the associated UV flashlight that came with the liquid epoxy.  The epoxy took its time getting a skin on and I finished it off on the back porch railing.

Yesterday’s train haul, a dream come true

Yesterday, I managed to stop into a local hobby shop, and I acquired done very neat trains, one of which is one I have been after for years, being the Tyco Golden Eagle, the other I got was the Tyco Transformers train, for 15 and 20

Custom modeled freight cars and other N and HO models

I have been practicing my CAD skills over the past few years, and recently, I decided to design freight cars, detail parts, and other models. As an N scale modeler, I have been involved in the hobby for many years now and have noticed that there is a certain limit manufacturers reach when producing models: only a certain amount of new models can be researched, CADed, tooled, manufactured, and released every year.
