More rail faning shots on the JDS&E RR

I was looking  for some more interesting shots down by the interchange on the JDS&E RR. I hope your like them.

Sudbury return loop

Up there, circled in red, this afternoon. Needless to say I am now waaay behind the goal I set for Labour Day. Actual track-laying has been delayed by a lack of turnouts, as other priorities intervened this fall. C'est la vie. That's the Sudbury return loop, with the Webbwood Sub curving around towards the right wall. The helices will sit on on top of Sudbury and the whole thing will be enclosed.

So At first I was considering not having a backdrop of any sort and just playing on this real-estate of mine.

I then got to thinking and realized a backdrop is the best protection for the wall surface!!  And it will look better, too...

Look At Your Lighting

I mentioned in a recent post that I needed to address the lighting on the layout. I don't have a great great camera and the lighting was just not bright enough in the room to compensate for my lack of skill at taking quality pictures. And so I decided to replace that old light bulb hanging from the ceiling with something that might throw a bit more light on the layout. I ended up getting a cool looking track lighting fixture.

 

Now it feels like Christmas!
