I just received an email confirming that the convention in St. Louis this September has been cancelled:

Dear Fellow Narrow Gaugers,

 In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, the St. Louis convention committee has decided to cancel the 40th National Narrow Gauge Convention.

Having very limited experience in hand laying track, I was concerned about getting it right on a Howe truss bridge (180' HO from Hunterline). I sought the advice from forum members in this thread and did some other research as well.  The following is the end result.
