2013 Goals for your Railroad Modeling?
In December 2011 Rick Wade started a thread on goals for 2012. http://model-railroad-hobbyist.com/node/6579
I thought it would be interesting to review my goals and see what I accomplished toward those goals. And also look at what I had done that wasn't included in my goals.

RAIL FANNING THE PEAVINE 2
to all.. here the video clips from the second part of my rail fanning day. the battery in my camera was going low so these clips are cut short. it seems like all the are doing is going back & forth but there are several moves going on. we were not allowed on "Cal gases" property so i couldn't' get the spotting of the cars in the complex.
by the end of the day the crew moved more than 100 cars
enjoy the vid

Choosing The Correct Sound Decoder
Guys, I am trying to determine which Tsunami Sound decoder to choose for my Atlas GP-38, CP #3008.
I think I have figured out on my own that it was powered by an EMD 645 but there are two versions in the Litchfield catalog to choose from, 2nd Gen Turbo and 2nd Gen NonTurbo. Does anyone know, or can anyone advise me as to how I could figure out for myself, if #3008 was turbo-charged or not?
Rail size
This week I was out rail fanning with my camera and the mainline for the Pan Am Railway is being upgraded to 136 lb rail right now. What code would this be say HO scale?
Still weird to see an airline loco on a loco or rolling stock.
It will be interesting to see the machinery for this upgrade. The rail is on either side of the main. Ribbon rail. Each section is 1/4 mile long and was stacked on a series of flat cars designed for this.
It Does Snow in Nebraska After All!!!!! 12-20-2012 Images in Lincoln
Story and Pictures are by Chris and another great idea to model a snow coach. Happy Holidays to all.
So I opened my mouth in my last e-mail about the lack of snow so far here in Nebraska; and, within 48-hours of hitting the send button, the first winter storm hit dropping 6-12 inches of snow across the region.
