HO Scratchbuilt Modern Grain Elevator

I’ve been a reader of MRH Magazine and its blogs for some time but this is my first time posting.

I want to take this opportunity to share the progress of my scratch built Grain Elevator and receive your comments in the process.  I would like your thoughts especially in the realism aspect.    This is still a work-in-progress so I will be adding more stuff in the near future.

Saint John, New Brunswick - Ideal industrial park for a shelf layout?

Hello everyone,

I thought I would share this information to help others who might have a rough time deciding on a prototype and/or which indistry to represent for a small layout. I remember searching for this kind of information endlessly... or so it seemed at the time!

Southern extension?

I'm on vacation visiting family and friends in western Canada.  I grew up in the central Manitoba/Saskatchewan border area and have been visiting family there.  I was at the old train station in my home town that has been converted to a restaurant/ice cream parlour when the southbound VIA Hudson Bay rolled by.  I recall a scenic location east of town that I could beat the train to so off I went.

Repair and detail a FED HOn3 Brass 4-4-0 Loco in San Jose Calif

I live in the San Jose CA area and would like to find a shop or a person that can take an out of the box FED HOn3 Brass 4-4-0 American Locomotive and repair, upgrade and detail it look like 1887 version that ran on the South Pacific Coast Rail Road that service the Santa Cruse Mountain route. I currently have two FED HOn3 brass 4-4-0 Locos that are 1910 versions that can me modified to look like the 1887 versions.  I would like to buy the FED 1887 all brss version of the 4-4-0 American Loco and tender.
