My first module - Long overdue update
It's been far too long between updates and there has been a lot of progress.
Firstly there is a stream now.
Too Stressed To Enjoy MRR[?]
It's been a while since the days when I used to post regularly on here, but a few of you might remember me. The last topic I posted on, in early 2013, was about having completed the primary infrastructure [benchwork, trackwork & wiring] of my freelanced version of the B&O in the Cleveland area, after taking the chainsaw to my previous layout a few years earlier.
The Story of Chuck Baker and his River Valley Railroad
The Story of Chuck Baker and his River Valley Railroad. Starts a little slow but it is a great watch and insight into how a railroad is done.
Some of My Doodles and Endeavers
Hey guys. A while back I noted in another post that I have a pretty decent collection of locomotives and rollingstock. However I have never yet gotten one of the elusive "a-round-to-it" to build a layout (my wife says I'm the world's worst procrastinator). Be that as it may, I am actually making progress toward a diorama or two. But until I feel my work in physical world is up to sharing here, I though perhaps you'all might indulge me, and hopefully enjoy, pictures of a couple of locomotives I have created using SketchUp. Pl
Small Layout Design Help/Challenge - c.1905 Pennsylvania Short Line
Hey, Gang. Just getting back into the hobby and I’m deep into sorting out some design considerations for a smallish layout. I thought I’d start a post here to see if anyone would like to follow along or contribute. I’m months away from starting any construction, so I think this will be a fun thought exercise in the meantime.
Middle School Model Railroad: Inglenook and sandwiches
A Mini Maker Faire is being held tomorrow on the campus of the school where I teach. I’ll be hosting a booth for stone cutting and polishing.
Sensor Part Minus 1
Is is a Video on sensors, this is about types of sensors that can be used on both DC or DCC. If you ever wanted to do sensors or add block occupier light on you control panel this is part one of or minus 1. ( I did one last month but this will be a broader look at sensors.) I look at more types but the 4 shown here I think are the most useful. 3 can be used on DC and DCC one is for DCC alone.
Hope this is helpful if you are looking into sensors and what can I use.

Use Descriptive Thread Titles please.
See how I did that? The title gives you a good idea what the post is going to cover. I'm guilty myself of not using descriptive descriptions but I'm trying to do better. If we uses descriptive titles it makes it easier for viewers to decide to read (or not) your posts. It also makes it easier to find things using the search function.
Here are some examples of poor / better titles:
Canadian Thanksgiving Progress
I did not get as much done on my bench work as I planned mostly due to the lack of materials to work with.
However I did manage to get a 4 ft section in and the frame for my swing gate.
Here are a couple of photos of the progress.
until next time.
