Keystoning in photos

There are about 5 things I commonly do with photos:

Crop

Resize

Rotate

Photo stacking

Correcting Keystoning.

For crop and resize, I use Paint.net.  Its quick and easy.  I also use Paint.net for 90 degree and flipping photos.

For rotating variable degrees, I use Affinity.

I use Affinity for photo stacking/focus merging.

I love fall - HO scale 6”x4” trestle and creek

Fall has always been a time of year I enjoy and I think it lends itself well to model railroading. I have been practicing my autumn modeling techniques and I think I have narrowed down my method pretty well. Here is a HO scale scratch built trestle following SP&S plans on a 4”x6” diorama. I did design this to be added into a layout if I desired.

Scanner App

Hello everyone. I was curious what’s a good Scanner App? Dumb question: am I able to find local railroad frequencies or am I stuck just hearing 911 emergency dispatch?

Thanks in adv

Supplier for scale lumber and metal trucks (HO)

Hi everyone. I am getting back into the hobby after a long hiatus, and this forum is terrific. I'm starting a project of scratch building a set of livestock cars and would be grateful for any recommendations on suppliers for scale lumber, scribed wood panels, brass wire, and the like, and also metal trucks. The shops I used to patronize are no longer in business.

Is there a company that makes HO scale wood decals in 2x4, 6X8 etc.

Good morning:

I was wondering if there is a company out there that makes strip style decals in HO scale 2x4 and 6x8 and larger etc. in woodgrain? I am making grade crossings out of styrene and I would like to line the sides that come in contact with the rail or inside the rails with a single strip of distressed wood RR ties. I know there are other methods out there, but this is the direction I would like to explore first.

Paint stripping without Isopropyl Alcohol

I've been fiddling around a bit getting ready to paint a few blue box Athearn bay window caboose kits into Erie-Lackawanna colors.  These have been accumulated over the last few years at train shows, and along the way I picked up a couple that were painted for other roads. (You know the drill; what shows up on the tables is what's available - take it or leave it, so if the price was right, I took it.)  The painted kits are going to be stripped.

Model Railroader tech issues and customer service?

I am curious to hear if others have had issues with Model Railroader or Kalmbach, generally, in terms of the quality of their digital functionalities and their customer service.

MG Chemicals Alcohol Wipes for cleanup

In Joe's publication, "MRH-Acrylic-painting-guide-post-Floquil", he mentioned that he used MG Chemicals Alcohol wipes for cleaning paint bottle tops and caps among other things.  With the pandemic, these disappeared and have not re-appeared.

Does anyone found a good substitute?  I've spent quite a bit of time looking for something similar, but have not found anything.

Thanks,

Greg
