Double R Graphics contact info?

Hello,

I was reaching out to see if anyone had any current contact information for George Stein with Double R Graphics? Double R is/was in the business of doing some painting and printing for custom model runs for Historical Societies and such. I know that he used to be located in Lindenhurst, NY. At some point (maybe after 2011?) it appears he relocated his operation to Farmingdale, NY. However, the number I have for him has been disconnected. I would appreciate any help!

Thanks,

Jason P.

Prototype Weekly Photo Fun - September 2nd to September 8th, 2016

Just took a train trip and got a few images, so I thought I'd start this thread.

Here are the best I could get at night on the Maryborough West platform:

CNJ Bronx Terminal - It's been a while...

Hi all,

It was asked of me in another thread about the current status of my CNJ Bronx Terminal layout. Admittedly it's been some time (OK, a few years...) since I have posted anything about it.

After Fast Tracks relocated in 2011 there really wasn't much space for the layout available, so for some time it sat in storage. In that time I did take it to a few train shows, but there was no progress on the layout at all as there simply wasn't anywhere to work on it.

German Trains & the Roses visit the Richlawn Railroad.

Today Michael Rose and the Mrs. visited us for great food, fellowship, and fun!  My day started at 7am as I fired up the smoker to smoke the 6-1/2 pound prime rib roast that I had marinated overnight in the fridge.  Four hours of smoking with apple wood and it was medium rare.  Below is a shot of the roast, a rib, and some potato wedges just before consumption.  Not show was broccoli, rolls, and butter. Our guests also brought us a nice bottle of merlot!

Awesome work everyone last week!  Time to start this week's photo thread!

As always, we get as much out of your in-process photos as we do the highly polished "all done" shots!

Hello Hermine means Hello Train Room

With an over abundance of caution our mayor decided to shut down city government today (friday) to keep folks off the streets. So that means a day all to myself in the train room as the better half did have to work. Many projects completed that I wanted to do. Many more to do. So this is what retirement feels like. I could get use to this.

Storing styrene strips

Hello folks. I was reading today about a neat idea for easily storing sheet styrene using expandable pocket file folders like you see in offices and that would work great for sheets. But does anyone have any tricks for storing and organizing strip styrene? I can't install pegboard or hang anything from my walls so it has to be something that can sit on my work bench. Or somehow be attached to my workbench out of the way.

Suggestions?

Laying ME Flex?

OK

I just ran into a video by MRH on YouTube demonstrating the laying of ME Flex Track. While the directions ar good, I would like to bring up something that I do while laying this sometimes "stubborn" track.

While we can go into many different ways to align a curve, eventually we will have to run equipment on that track we just put down, and the cars will always tell us what a great job we did- or tell us we were sleeping at the switch when we should have been aligning that curve!

Silly question, maybe???? Mike Confalone DVD

Just bought the new Mike Confalone Freight Car weathering DVD set.    Is there something I don't know about playing it?   doesn't seem to like my computer.   I can see what is on the disk, but it doesn't seem to want to play.  Is there a special play back application for these, or I am doing something stupid?

thanks,
