Mystery Wires on PSC K-37
Hi,
Looking for some help, just wondering what these wires are for?, i presume they are for the rear headlight, but there is no obvious place on the tender or loco to plug or solder the wires into, where do they go
Cheers

Modeling D&RGW HOn3 Downunder
Hi all,
I'm new to MRH forums, but figured I'd try getting some help here
Braking Systems
I have always associated K Brakes with vertical staff and AB Brakes with Ajax Power Handbrake. After reading some assembly instructions and examining some Accurail cars, I am not sure I am right. Is it possible for a car to have AB Brakes and a vertical staff?
Lime solution used to clean stock cars
I am trying to find out what lime streaks and lime spills would look like on ballast. Does anyone know or know a source to see images of this in colour?

Weekly Photo Fun - 7/23/17 through 7/29/17

Simple operation
Last night a new friend whom I met at the Bill and Dana Brillinger, Minneapolis MRH supper came over and I showed him my simple railroad, we ran a few trains and then discussed what he might build in the space he has about 10X13'.
He said he was part of a local club but that guys there didn't really operate trains there, they just ran them and he had a few questions about operations. Though it was starting to get late I said well, let's head over to the short line engine house, grab the switcher and do a little switching.
How do trains stay on the rails in a curved section of track?
I found this in a Popular Mechanics article that I happened upon on the Internet.
If you search YouTube for stable rollers you can get to the video directly again.

I found it very interesting indeed. For me, "Goes to show that you don't know what you don't know!"

Home brew photo etch?
Has anyone on this forum had any success,or failure doing their own photo etching? I'm thinking about experimenting with this process as my wife just bought a UV light for her nail polish...
I'm thinking about an easy project like making my own roof walks and end platforms in 1/29 scale.
This video is what got me thinking about it.
