MRH Magazine general discussion
Mike Confalone's Allagash Story - eBook feedback
Thread for those who have purchased the Allagash eBook series to discuss their thoughts, impressions, questions, and comments.
Please let us know your opinion!
The pre-order sale has been extended, but it's only good until midnight Jan 30th:

February issue delayed
In order to put in coverage of the Amherst show, moving the release date to. Feb 1.
We also put our circulation stats as of Jan 31 each year in the February issue each year, so this allows us to maintain consistency year over year with our official stats report.
Very useful link ---- old Railroad industry magazines.
You guys might find this helpful. There are all kinds of prototype drawings and information in these magazines. I've found them very fascinating as they discuss, at the time of their publication, the latest industry news.

Changing how you do the hobby forever?
Looking back over your time in the hobby, tell us about the one thing, more than any other, that has forever changed - for the good - how you do the hobby.
I'm starting this thread because I think it could be an interesting conversation.
CLARIFICATION: Not looking for new technology (DCC, 3D prototyping), new products (better adhesives), or new organizations (N-Trak, JMRI open source project) ... I'm looking for MINDSET-CHANGING concepts like Allen McClelland's "Good Enough" concept.
Poster Putty Tip
I had to chuckle reading Dave Dexter's tip for using poster putty to hold little screws. We've been using that trick for years where I work, but with wax.
I'm a surgical technologist working in a hospital's O.R. The screws we use for cranial and jaw fixation are very small: they have a 2 to 3.0mm head and length from 1mm and up. We often use sterile bone wax (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bone_wax) to hold troublesome screws on the screwdrivers.

Weathering a box car
Hi all,
I would like to share a couple of pictures of my first weathering work. Since it was my first try, I took an old Mehano box car to practice.
Any comment or suggestion will be really appreciate.
Many thanks!
Best,
Alejandro
