Layout for a room 3m x 3m
Hi, I have a spare room that measures 3m x3m and would like to fit a HO scale layout that has possibly 2 levels or 1 level with mountain scenery in the background. My last layout was in a room 3m x 6m but that was dismantled with only the track being saved. I would appreciate any help that can be put my way. I model B&O Steam and Diesel as well as UP steam and diesel. My mental picture is lots of mountains, valleys and bridges.

on time performance
We hear all those moans and groans when MRH is a day or two "late". This month the first Monday is only the 2nd, and we have our December issue, and TMTV up and running as well.

NMRA advertising with MRH?
This past August I joined the NMRA for the first time. Mainly I wanted find out about modelers in my area, and have access to the NMRA get meets, plus I really enjoy this hobby and support their efforts at education. Which kind of brings me to the point of this post. Is the NMRA an advertiser with MRH?
I did a quick check of the advertisers index, and didn't see them as a sponsor. I should probably be writing to the guys at NMRA about this, but thought maybe someone had keener eyes than me.

Lightweight rocks
Many years ago, I started casting rocks using Plaster of Paris. Lately, I have been casting rocks with Lightweight Hydrocal to save some weight. (A couple dozen rocks can add a lot of weight to a portable layout.) Most recently, I have tried using Lightweight Spackle in regular rock molds. It came out surprisingly well.

When (or have they already) are the November bonus downloads going to be ready? I know Joe and MRH are busy with TranimastersTV--very good and I subscribed--but are the November bonus downloads to be released soon?

Alaska Railroad Program
Was channel surfing last night and saw a nice show on current Alaskan railroad operators dealing with all the hazards associated with railroading in extremely harsh conditions. Lots of specialized equipment. I think it was on Discovery and it's a series.
Anyone know how to contact Bob Rivard?
Anybody know how to contact Bob Rivard - as in a phone number or lives close enough to him you can go talk to him?
We have his email and we've been trying to contact him for over a month now to make payment on his article but he's not answering.
We hope he's okay ...
