Your experience please - laying track on cork on foam
My plans are to lay my cork roadbed directly on 2" foam; however I ran across the post below and I'm curious about others experience. I could still change at this point.

September MRH release date?
When is the September issue going to hit the net?
Thanks!

Loksound Select Problem
Today I have been installing a Loksound Direct board in an Athearn RTR GP 35. This should be easy I thought!! Removed the Athearn board. Soldered a motor lead to the top motor contact, placed the Loksound board on a piece of insulated double sided tape and then stuck it where the old board was. All looked good so I then very carefully soldered the track pick ups and the two motor leads to the correct tabs. Then it was off to the programming track, fired up Decoder Pro, created a new roster entry, changed to a new 4 digit DCC address and wrote the changes.
Blogs?
This may have been already asked, or it may be like the Geico commercials, everybody already knows that...I m sorry but i dont. How do you start an MRH blog?

CGI downloads--How does this work?
In a recent post about asphalt roads, one of the replies talked about CGI images and referenced this website http://www.cgtextures.com/textures.php?t=browse&q=1939 I love the area of rust! Excellent way to make some rolling stock rusty. I'm sure to many of you this may be as easy and obvious as breathing air, but I'd love to know how this works!

Proto 2000 PA problems
I have a Proto 2000 PA circa 1999. It has performed flawlessly for years. Recently it has a problem when pulling a train. It bucks like one might expect with dirty track or a spit axle (I've replaced many of them with my vast Proto fleet). I took it apart and cleaned the truck towers and relubed the gears (I believe with Labelle No. 108). It still does the same thing. The unit has been DCC'd with an 8 pin plug, program and play decoder many MANY years ago. Can anyone lead me in a different direction?

Tom Miller's Railroad(s)
Remember Tom Miller's F scale railroad featured in a past MRH issue? Take a look at these:
converting DCS locomotives TO DCC
Has there been any articles on converting DCS locomotives to DCC? I thing I remember one within the last two years. It may not have been in MRH.
