MRH Magazine general discussion
Table of Contents
Gentlemen,
First let me say that M.R.H. is brilliant, and I tell people about it at every train show I attend.
Do you think that one of your computer guru"s could come up with a table of contents that shows that page from each issue and is updated with each issue?
I realize that there is an index which is great for looking up specific information. Sometimes it is nice to browse past issues and reread articles or just search for a new project.
Thank You
Larry

Diesel Basics
I saw this video on YouTube and thought it was interesting. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y7d7t_4dZko&feature=youtube_gdata_player
It 50 minutes old but show the general information of a diesel locomotive. I thought others might find it as informative as I did.

June MRH
I've downloaded the June issue twice and have had the same problem: after reading several pages, the screen locks up and I cannot go to any other page. I've closed the issue and reopened it but it remains locked. I am using a Kindle Fire HD. What to do?

MRH TOC Index - RETIRED
This index has been replaced by a new Online Version
A few people have been looking for an easy to browse, text based, MRH Table of Contents (TOC).
Here is the MRH TOC index. It is updated every month.

Page turn: Blur to Sharp Focus
I've noticed that starting with the June edition, when turning a page in either direction, the image is blurred at first, then progresses to sharp focus. I've seen this in magazines I read using the Zinio reader as well. I don't know about the rest of your readers, but I find this irritating. I much prefer the way it worked in prior months where the next page image was always sharp. Sometimes there may be a very slight delay in fetching the page image, but usually not since it seems to have prefetched the image before I'm ready to turn the page.
Coming in June?
Do you think there might be a touch of irony in this? On the Derailments page of the June 2013 issue, the announcement for stuff coming in the next issue says "Coming in June."

MRH wish list
Okay, we're looking at doing some new products with our launch into eBooks, and as always, we continue to be interested in doing new video projects.
So let's assume the sky's the limit. What would you like to see that would be most beneficial to you? Don't just throw out a title - give us a few sentences describing what the content would cover.
You never know, you might get your wish!
Newbie with questions
While I am not new to MRH Magazine, I am new to these forums. I am trying to figure out how to get a message to Bruce Petarca. I purchased his article on installing sound in a Kato NW2 and I have a couple of questions for him. I was told I could reach him in the forums section of this site. Can anyone explain how I can address Bruce?

Gear & Wheel Pullers
My layout is HO scale.
I am getting ready to send an order to Micro-Mark for a number of items. I see they have two types of
wheel and gear puller/removers
#82392 Miniature Gear & Wheel Puller,
#84746 Wheel and Gear Remover.
The One Turnout Layout as Described in the May 2013 Issue
Having been born in Miami, I can tell you that the single turnout shelf layout described by Lance Mindheim in the May 2013 MRH article is very accurate to the prototype. Not only does it "look" right, it agrees quite well with Google maps (I checked it out, search for 3409 NE 62 Street, Miami , FL, on Google Maps if you'd like to see it for yourself). Excellent job, Lance!
