Looking for Dates of RPM Meet in Cocoa Beach FL for 2014

I have done a google search with no luck. I am looking for the specific dates for the Railroad Prototype Modeler's meet in Cocoa Beach, FL that is held in January.  I have not seen any notices of what the dates are for the 2014 meet, and need to find out now so as not to make sure I do not schedule anything that weekend.  I have always wanted to go to the RPM meets, so I have decided to make sure I can go to this one!

Thanks!

Proto:87 website

http://www.proto87.com/  I guess no one else has noticed, but sometime on Sunday I think Andy changed over to a new website layout.  Placed an order today so hope it all works.

MRH organizer

Hi,

Does anyone knows if there is some software to manage magazines like MRH? I mean some kind of document database management which could be used to organize by article title, subject and so on?

I've considered making my own using the usual DB software, but I'm afraid it could be a bit crude and not as flexible as expected. My programming skills are limited to very simple VBA coding!

Thanks for your comments.

Kind regards,

António

Wiring Atlas Switch Machines

Can some one tell me how to wire a Miniatronics momentary toggle with 6 terminals to an Atlas switch machine? I have one of the new Atlas switch control boxes with the red and green LEDs, the push button sticks and cooks the machine. Thanks!!

Where are the July downloadble files?

Where are the July 2013 downloadable extra files? When logged into the MRH website and clicking on the appropriate button on the magazine page, I still get the preliminary page which says that these files are coming. I know with the NMRA convention coming that the MRH staff is probably pretty busy, but if Joe has a moment to update us all, that would be appreciated.

The Second Annual $500 layout contest...possible rule change?

I have been building my 14"x86" N Scale layout to the exact rules of the MRH $500 layout rules, and I do have to say, it is VERY limiting. I have used Fifer Hobby as a pricing guide for items that I have owned, and as a supplier. I have ONE plastic structure kit that will need 2 cans of spray paint, and that will lower my budget to about $12 to finish the scenery. I know that I have splurged  on freight cars, and that has eaten up about $200 of the budget.

What is "NFS?"

In the "More Derailments humor..." section of the June issue of MRH, the very last item (very funny!) talks about the differences in how various railroads track time, i.e.,  BNSF, UP, NFS, and Amtrak.  What is "NFS?"
