One way to organize rolling stock
As I've been unpacking from my move to Florida it became important to have a way to organize and find my rolling stock for two reasons: 1.) So I can sell certain items; and 2.) So I can locate specific cars to run on our club layout. I started by using an Ipad(tm) app to organize the cars and put them on shelves; however, I realized that I needed to remove these shelves in order to build my layout. What to do? I decided to using six drawer plastic rolling carts.
Here's what the cart looks like:

Cool Video-- Rebuild old GP9 into a new Genset Loco
I just found a very cool video on YouTube about rebuilding an old GP9 into a new Genset locomotive. The video is about an hour long.

New column Joe should do
"A Day In The Life"-
Joe do you ever run trains anymore or are things just too dang busy? Both the MRH and this forum seen to be growing in a good way- Do you maybe just have the time to run ops one day a week? A month? Maybe just an hour before nite-nite time? It'd be interesting to know the insider-view of Joe Fugate, maybe a week's worth.
Inquiring minds wanna know!

MRH Feb. issue using Feedly
I tried reading this issue using the supplied RSS link in Feedly. Big improvement! I use a Kindle Fire however, so iTunes is not available as a download site. Is there an alternative site?

Ah, The Good Old Days
The post asking about the RDC's led me to HOSeeker and I decided to see what Athearn had available back in the 1950's.
Here's Athearn's total product line for 1957 (Page 1 has the train sets made up of these items).

So many choices. Nothing like today.

DCC Article Suggestion
Being an N Scaler and lover of early steam, I have both the atlas 2-6-0 and new 4-4-0 locomotives. As well as several Bachmann 4-4-0 locomotives. Also being a fellow who wants to run his trains and not his track, I have the MRC Prodigy Advance DCC system.
My suggestion for an article should go to Bruce Petrarca.
Bruce, what are the chances of MRH giving us a chart of available mobile decoders, giving us physical sizes, functionality, possibly suggested pricing, and whatever else you can think of. LOL
Article submissions
Maybe I hit a busy time of year... Shortly after Christmas I sent in an inquiry for an article that I'm working on. I received the auto reply indicating that within a few weeks I'd receive a reply. After a month I sent another inquiry. Still no reply.
Thanks

Archival Article: Would be great to read.
The articles pertaining to painting track and turnouts a couple guys said to view the article "Parallel Lines" by Tim Warris in the 3rd quarter of 2009, Q3V2.pdf. I noticed this back issue isn't available anymore. Would you have this article in you files somewhere or is everything gone for the first three issues? Thank you.
