MRH Magazine general discussion
Question for our readers about MRH Sponsors
We have a question for our readers ...
MRH has two kinds of advertisers - hobby marketplace advertisers and sponsoring advertisers.
Sponsoring advertisers agree to a longer-term commitment with MRH and they run larger ads than get run in the hobby marketplace.
Sponsors get their logos posted in the front of MRH and on the sponsors page of our website - so they get a lot more visibility than hobby marketplace advertisers do.

The end of print ...
This post has almost nothing to do with trains, but it does show the end of print magazines may be on the horizon, and that has some interesting implications for MRH since we were the first all-digital general model railroading magazine. We're also now the second largest publisher with almost 100,000 unique device views in February and March.
PODCAST
Hi all,
I was just wondering what happened to the podcast. I noticed the last one is on 10/2012 in iTunes.
thanks,

OO gauge battery powered radio control
Ok, for those that are thinking about battery power and radio control. This engine is controlled by a DelTang 2.4Hz receiver.
Here's a close up of the engine uncoupling from the cars.

Hi, just an observation. On the opening screen, there is a set of 'bookshelves'. The old version of MRH was shown with a picture of the front page, but the new version is just an old brown folder looking thing with the file name written across it. I did like the picture of the front page as I could see at a glance the issue I wanted to open. What is the cause of this, does anyone know?
cheers, Bill
control panel lights
Was wondering if anyone can tell me of a way to wire in panel lights for tortoise switch machines at the panel themselves and not run wires from the switch motors themselves. Is there anyway to hook in the lights directly to the DPDT switches themselves. Would be using bi-polor lights on crossovers and regular red and green LED's to show normal and reverse.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
spelling errors
I understand that letters and such are posted as written to maintain authenticity, but I am very surprised that there is no editing of advertising content for spelling. One such big ad is for Decorative material, but the ad says Decoritive. No reason to let that get by. Otherwise a great magazine! Keep 'er rolling! John Colley, Port Townsend, WA

Locomotive Programming Humor
I thought of this, thought it would be funny, so I created it. Hope you all find it funny as well.
