Modeling topic

I'm doing a Clinic
So I decided I really wanted to try doing something at this years NMRA convention. After bouncing ideas around in my head I thought why not go and do it on the youth in the hobby. This was a great idea for two reasons. 1. I am a youth and 2. It is always a controversial and popular topic. I am thinking of basing it around what I have done and the youth I have seen in the hobby. Along with some of my cheapo solutions to common or usually found problems.
New BLI Y6b paragon3 wont run in reverse
Just unboxed this mammoth loco today and immediately a problem. Looks great and works perfectly in Foward and neutral.
When i put it in REVERSE, it goes haywire. Does not move. Starting at speed step one, all engine sounds stop and i hear a distorted sound, sounds like a short, repeats in a loop while engine does not move. Switching back to forward, it works fine. Reverse, and just distortion. Same on DCC as DC.

TCS WOW reset [Resolved]
I have just finished Installing a TCS WOW ath-1 kit in an Athearn SD70ace, and after selecting the correct prime mover, I attempted to change the operating direction (so when the direction is FWD the loco moves cab forwards/ REV hood forward) using the program on the main function of my NCE powercab.
Now it just idles and I cannot control it, I've tried to perform the CV 8 = 8 / CV30 = 2 reset to no avail.
Is there any other way to reset the decoder or is it "lost"?
Intermountain SD40-2 issue
I have a DC model railroad (using MRC 9950 power packs) which I have been constructing over the last 6 months. Today I encountered an interesting issue with a pair of Intermountain SD40-2s that I purchased last year. Up until a month ago I was using an old MRC 501 and an MRC 2400 (from the 1970s and 1980s) to power the two tracks (it's a double-track mainline). The pair of SD40-2s (no sound) ran just fine with both of those power packs, although the throttle setting response of the locomotives was different for the two power packs.
Blackstone Models website out of date?
Just visited the Blackstone Models website, hoping to get an update on the deliveries dates for the K-28s and K-36s. I noticed the site's not been updated since Dec. 7, 2015.
Without trying to sounding alarmist, five months is eons in term of a business not updating its website. Blackstone maintains a presence on Facebook and Twitters I gather. I don't waste my time at shiny object "look at me" social media sites, so I'm assuming Blackstone is still a going concern.

Pike Stuff kits
I like the Pike Stuff 2 stall engine house and have the kit. If anyone has built their kits can you comment on a few things? I have notice the groves molded into the back side of the wall panels for doors and windows are fairly wide; how did you cut out the openings for the doors, windows etc.

Running Trains
I have been running some trains and I picked these two to show to everyone. The first video shows a Troop Train led by a Broadway Limited E6A/B with a consist of 15 Micro-Trains Pullman Troop Cars plus an old AHM heavyweight observation car. I purchased the troop cars back when they were originally released by Micro-Trains some 10+ years ago and this is their first time running in a train. There are some duplicate numbers but it is N-Scale and unless you really look closely, they are very hard to read. The train consist is planned to run as an extra from time to time

Need help identifying an HOn3 locomotive
Hi all!
I need help identifying this HOn3 model:
I got it as is with a broken gearbox which is now being replaced with a new from NWSL.
What prototype does it have? And who made the model?
I'm going to repaint and decal it, so it would be nice to get it right.... :)

A friend helping me out with the ballasting. His method was so quick and nice I just had to make a tutorial.
Hi!
This passed week I got help to ballast most of my lines. My friend had such a nice and quick method, which ended up with a really realistic and nice look. I just had to make a video helping me to remember the routine for next time. Maybe it can also be of help to others, like it did for me.
