Rockingham Junction NH Track Plan?
As I start designing the new layout, I find myself looking for a track plan of Rockongham Junction NH in the middle to late 1950s. If anyone has what the track configuraiton was in Rockingham Junction at that time (or earlier and I can guesstimate from photos and writeups what was still there in the 1950s) or knows where online I might find it, I would love to see it. I have found a partial just of the crossing section itself on the site for N Scale Architect, but it does not extend out in any direction even as far as where the wye's connect so sidings and additional tracks

Rolling Stock Tuning Tip
Having watched the John Cathcart interview (Car Department Foreman at The La Mesa Club) and followed the immensely practical and sound advice given on tuning rolling stock for reliable operation, I am now a very strong advocate of the process John has developed. The video can be seen on this link:

I am also keenly awaiting the release of Joe Fugate's 2nd book (Rolling Stock) in the "Make it Run Like a Dream" series.

Wood Reefer Kit
I have just purchased three wooden rolling stock kits at a local train swap meet (pictured is a Streamline Swift Reefer) and have a LOT of questions. I have searched the internet and MRH on how to make a wood kit, with limited success. Most are a step by step of the assembly, with little of the technical aspects. In the past, I have used whatever I had on hand, and it shows. I have grouped my questions into three parts.
PREPARING
Beef Packing Plant illuminated interior details
Our club (Scarborough Model Railroaders, Toronto, Canada, era around 1958) is starting a project to illuminate the interiors of the buildings on our HO scale layout. I have volunteered to work on an interior for our beef packing plant.
Making a mud covered siding
The track is laid, the rails and ties painted, and the ballast secured,
but I wanted to create a look similar to this; more so the texture than matching the actual colour:

Getting close to retirement
Greetings one and all. Its been a while since I have posted anything as I have been busy getting all of our ducks in a row pending retirement on Sept 29. I have gone through several layout designs as our final location has changed several times. First an apartment with a decent size spare bedroom. Then a house with a full basement...that was a dream layout design there..now finally we have settled on a brand new mobile home with a nice size spare bedroom.

Pouring WS Realistic Water for a ditch and pond. When and how do you put in the plants?
Hi everyone,
I am looking for advice on how you install plants in and around water. Is this done during the pour/dry process or after the fact. I am doing cattails, lily pads, and fish "aluminum foil slivers." Any advice on this or ponds and swamps in general would be helpful.
Thanks.
