Scale Structures Ltd. Dinky Creek Bridge
Ihave the kit but I need a copy of the template sheet. I have misplaced it and am now getting ready to build the kit. If anyone has a copy it would be much appreciated

Track Work: Rosin Core Solder vs. Solid Solder
I've read numerous posts here regarding hand-laid turnouts and the use of 60/40 or 63/37 rosin core solder during their construction. There are also debates pro/con about the need for use of flux with a rosin core solder.
That aside, am I correct that a solid core solder could also be used? But, in this case one would definitely HAVE to use flux with it?

V-Scale Help or Hindrance
I have been doing a lot of reading lately from the " One-town layout " topic to " Operations " and " Is Model railroading too expensive ". I did a search of the posts today here on MRH on Virtual Railroading and found quite a bit of information, a lot more than I would have thought. This topic got me to thinking:

Accurail WP ACF 3-bay Hopper
I bought an ACCURAIL ACF covered hopper that is a Western Pacific roadname. The CAPY shows 198000 and the LD LMT is 165,000. I thought the CAPY should not be greater than the LD LMT. Are there decals available to match the Accurail lettering to correct the LD LMT?

Doodle Time
The walls are all painted, part of my bench work is now in so it is doodle time.
I have tried CAD design for my layouts in the past, but I enjoy doodling ideas.
i have modified that technique by using my template and further modified the process by doodling on plexiglass over top of the scaled drawing.
The plexiglass technique I got from my wife who Doodles on quilts as she designs quilting patterns.
But enough about quilts.
Here are a couple of photos of some doodling.

Large format backdrop printing
Here’s an option for relatively inexpensive backdrop development:
Three Critical Tools to Preserve Your Pike
I present the three most critical things just about all of us need now to preserve our model railroad harmony:
One of these:
Some of these:
and one of these:
terraforming
As part of my preparations for the upcoming Railway Modellers Meet layout tour in May, I have started noodling around with some basic scenery to hide the raw benchwork that currently dominates the layout room. My original plan was to hold off on building scenery on the lower level until the upper level was completed, but I doubt I'll get much of the upper deck completed before the tour. So some basic scenery will be roughed in to give a bit more visual interest to visitors. I'm sure I'll be making chang
Con-Cor MP-15
I recently purchased a Con-Cor EMD MP-15 (DC) locomotive. The locomotive ran pretty well right out of the box but was rather noisy. The documentation said that it was lubed at the factory but greasing it with LaBelle grease made a big difference in the running characteristics.
Using food to switch cars on a short line.
I should probably entitle this little railroad story: "How to switch cars using Gatorade and Twinkies".
