Farmrail - The Clinton Industrial Park (Part 1)

Hello, all!

I thought I'd post some information and photos of my small switching layout depicting a portion of the industrial park in Clinton, OK on the Farmrail System.  Era is sometime in the past five years or so, before the GP10s began to get replaced on that railroad in the past couple years.

VIA RAIL Turbo Train by Rapido Trains

VIA Rail Turbo Train rounds a series of bends on the CN Mainline near Trenton, Ontario on the busy Toronto - Quebec Corridor.  The Doppler Horn feature on the Rapido Trains Turbo is incredible!

Home Made Decaling

So, I am trying my hand at home made decaling.

I needed some SOU decals, and at $8 for a sheet that covers one... maybe two cars was getting a bit pricey.

So I bought some decal sheets, and some clear acrylic spray, and tonight I decided to try my hand at it. It wasn't too expensive after all.

I found some SOU fonts on the internet as a free download (the proper lettering, plus, several versions of the SOU logo, from the Crescent limited, to both steam era, and more modern-ish logos... perfect for HO scale modeling)

Planning city scenes on slopes/hillsides

Happy holidays to all.  I'm looking for a good tutorial, suggestions, pointers, etc. about planning and installing city scenes on slopes/hillsides.  I'd like to include buildings, stores, streets and sidewalks that are on hillsides as part of some of the urban located elements of my layout.  I've found lots of articles, videos, articles, etc.

Layout idea: "New Alton Shops"

For years I've learned so much from the members of MRH forum through lurking – reading others' questions and the collective wisdom of the MRH. I'm thinking it's time I put my layout design sketch out here for some input and feedback.
