Help with my layout
I'm 73 y-old and want to model as prototypically as I can in HO the ICRR RR(about 9000') as it existed in late 1930s-late 1940s.
TCS Throttle Delay
We lost a month for no good reason (on our part). Here is an update on the status of the injection molds for the TCS throttles. The bottom line is that they went dark for a month, so our chances of shipping before Christmas are not very high. Grrrr. Details are in the video.
Right or Wrong?
I am facing a dilemma. That is, I have two freight cars I am about to complete and they have no matching prototypes for them. As a prototype modeler, well sort of, I try hard to make sure all of my freight cars are a close representation of specific prototypes. This is a satisfying way of modeling that I really enjoy.

Need Help Designing Layout
I need help designing a layout. The maximum space I have to work with is 6x10.5 feet. Some constraints and requirements are:
24" minimum radius
A sizable yard
3 or more industrial sidings
A two rail mainline
Room to store large locomotives such as SD70ACEs and ES44s.
Lots of switching
A grade crossing w/ crossing gates
Space for an Atlas 2 rail Cantilever Signal Bridge
Walthers Code 83 turnouts

Keep the lights on
I maintain a G gauge RR at two restaurant locations. I have a problem keeping the lights on in the passenger cars and cabooses (cabeeses?). Pickups are from the factory wipers or fed from the wheels to an axle terminal, I know clean track is a must but I still get flickering in the lighted cars. There is no problem with locomotive lights. These trains run anywhere from 12 to 14 hours or more per day 7 days a week. Between 20 and 30 years of operation these engines have finally given up the ghost, seven out of eight have died.

No Waybills
Over on a early railroad operations forum, there was a discussion about "slow railroading", modeling the inefficiency and congestion of early railroads brought on by poor communication and no/low per diem.

Color match
I'm looking to match the orange color of Bessmer & Lake Erie. Has anyone have a lead or formula to get this shade of paint. GN and AT&SF oranges are too bright. Thanks in advance for any information,
