Cascade Sub Backdrop Timelapse
With unexpected time for working on the railroad I was able to complete the base painting of the backdrops on the upper level. This work and concurrent adventures with fascia will allow for a more concentrated terrain building effort in the coming weeks. Hope everyone is safe and healthy!

CNW Marshline Update: Yes I'm still alive, I've been doing room prep!
Hey Everyone,
I've been away for a while. Work, life and indecision have left me not making much progress on the model railroad. Lots of things just popping up preventing me from getting to the workbench or just working on the railroad. I just couldn't get moving on my modeling. So I took a small break...
Resources for Determining Acceptable Grade and Length for Incline
I am working on my first HO layout in years. I have about 72ft2 to work with on one level and was thinking about making it a two-level model.
Does anyone have any guidance or website they can send me to that I can calculate the acceptable percentage of grade and how many feet it would take to rise (or lower) 19 inches?
If it matters, this is a more modern layout running off of the Montana Rail Link (MRL) Missoula to Thompson Falls MT "Gas Line." Therefore I would be running two types of diesel, 10-15 car trains.

BLI SW7 Lurches Through Low Speed Steps
Hello, everyone!
I have a new BLI SW7 with a Paragon 2 decoder. I've noticed that the engine has poor low speed performance. I've tried tweaking the CVs using Decoder Pro. Now it starts fine at speed step 1 but literally jumps to each additional speed step until it reaches about step 5. This lurching doesn't go away when playing with momentum or BLI's speed smoothing.

TMTV
I have just joined for one year TrainMasters TV. I've been aware that Bill Scobie's Rio Grand Southern in Sn3 Layout was one of the videos on TMTV. Can you tell me how to find this video as it is one of the reasons that I subscribed to TMTV? I dearly want to see Bill's Layout!

Suggestions to get a clean cut on 0.5mm aluminum sheet please
I have some 0.5mm aluminum sheet I need to cut and have clean cuts. The sheet is 9” x 12” and I need to cut a piece 1.25” x 2.5” so it isn't not like it's small pieces to work with. Since it's on the thin side I would think there has to be a way similar to scoring styrene and snapping it.
So, before I reinvent the wheel, I thought I would see what everyone says
Thanks
