Tam Valley Servos 2
Well, I got my servos installed. The first one took a couple hours I had to learn the accessories functions of my NCE PowerCab as well as the servo features. I had never used accessories before. The fourth servo took about 15 minutes to install. The programming is straight-forward once you get through the first one..
DCC short management Buzzer
I am using a 1156 tailight bulb for short management with good results, but on several occasions I,ve had my back turned and not noticed the bulb lit up. My question, is it possible to have an audible device hooked up inconjuction with the tail light bulb, and if possible, how would it be connected. Thanks
Modeling Flat Car Loads-Tractors/Construction Equipment (HO Scale)
I am modeling the midwest (KCS Kansas City Area) in the early 1980s. I have several 60' MDC flat cars (HO scale) which I would like to add farm equipment or construction equipment as loads. I subscribe to the "Good Enough" philosophy, so I would prefer modifying toys such as those found at Walmart, rather than spend $30-$60 a piece for scale models. I have found some nice near HO scale 1/87 toys of both farm tractors and construction equipment, however I don't know what models would be appropriate for my era. I don't want a flat car running on my

Hat River Coal & Navigation Co.
This is my first blog post here, so give me a minute and I'll set the stage a little. I was born and raised in Alberta, Canada, but have lived and worked in Newfoundland and Labrador for the last 8 or 9 years.
parallel tracks and atlas turnouts
I want to create a passing siding (parallel track needed) with flex track and atlas #6 customline turnouts but I don´t know the geometry of these turnouts.
How to return the diverging routes to parallel?

Has Anyone used Bullfrog Plastic "SNOT" (i.e. Traction Tires)
It's hard to test whether my steam locomotives (especially the BLI Mike's) will handle a 30" helix without any helpers (since the helix will be hidden though accessable) without actually building it (and if things don't work well, that will be a tremendous amount of time and material wasted), so to ease my concerns, I was thinking of using a product I have seen online called Bullfrog "SNOT". Has anyone used this product. Does it work well? How difficult is it to use it. Is there any downside?
Printed Textures
Hey Folks Here is a site I came across while searching for printed textures for a modeling project I am
working on. This site has everything imaginable and it is all free. You have to register in order

DC and DCC
I'm going to be re-wiring my layout and converting my Atlas selector based control panel to something better. I was advised by a few to just go to DCC. With NCE Powercab at $150 and the Zepher for a few dollars more ($225 or less) it is a little more tempting.

Thunder & Lighting Stripes - Detailing D&H Alcos (pictures repaired)
With my Penn Lake and Reading units completed, I've started detailing my Delaware & Hudson motive power. In the works are a pair of RS36s, a gaggle of RS11s (each one different) and a lone RS3.
Like all my units, they will get proper air horns, radio antenna, and bells, as well as, grab irons, speed recorders, and MU hoses.

Wonderful video of a Swedish HO layout
Hi all, I´m active on a few Swedish Forums as well (being Swedish and all....),
On The "Stinsen".Forum there was this link to a Layout video featuring a Forum friends work.
His name is Sture Bylén and he has made his layout to show how his childhoods hometown of Morshyttan looked in 1959 and also features a lot of real events and persons from the area.
I hope you will enjoy it, there is English subtitles in the works as I write this.
