Interchangable Structures.
The problem - more structures than I have MRR real estate. (Both made and still in their boxes)
A notion to be explored.
I'm thinking that if I could cut two identical squares of plexiglass (or sign board) and indent this square into my town, then I could have inter-changable buildings. The old Woolworths is removed and a new high rise goes in it's place.
Anyone done something like this???
Micro Toggel switches.
I am new to the hobby and I have a partially completed layout and some used electric switches. I was going to buy some micro toggels to use with the switches but I do not know what amperage to buy. I located some .4 amp and some .5 amp. My power plant is .5 dc and .4 ac. Which toggels will work?
MR Operations Software packages
I wonder if any of you has any experience with the "Decapod" Model Railroad operating software programs. I am experimenting with such programs to find the one that best suits me and my meager layout. Currently, I am using the one included with the JMRI Decoder Pro. The JMRI one works pretty well for me, but I would like to be sure that I have not failed to try any systems that may meet my requirements. Thank you all for any and all assistance.

Using flex track to layout a curve.
I am using Atlas code 83, some sectional, some flex for my layout. Is there some sort of template I can use to put down on my surface and bend the flex track to match? I was trying to eyeball it without any kind of template and I keep getting derailments when I test it out. I need to make the curve somewhere between 18 and 20 inch radius.

Switchlist generator

What was the "recordable decoder"?
I remember a while back a Tsunami decoder was released where you could set the locomotive into a record mode, run it around the layout, stopping and starting it as you wish, and later, whenever you want, replay those motions without intervention as you run another train or just plain watch.
So, not being an electronic's expert, here are my questions:
Coffee table layout
I'm looking for a 4' x 2' N scale track plan that I can fit into a coffee table frame with glass top and sides. I have a plan of john Allens Gorre & Daphetid HO railroad (4' x 8') but am not sure if it will convert neatly into N scale. I like the basic plan because you can make the scenery as dramatic as you like. Any suggestions or tips?

The "CCT&E Railroad"
