Modeling topic
Cass WV Company Store
Ok as noted elsewhere I am starting to build the structures for Cass WV. This is my fathers section of the layout and I would like for him to see it mostly finished and unfortunately his time is limited due to health issues so I am moving Cass to the top of the build list.
However that is forcing me to address some problems As such I will be asking a lot of questions in a short order sorry if this is an issue. But I don’t want to combine different topics as the replies will get lost.

Gator Foamboard for structures
I have a large building even in N scale that I may not be ready to build out fully for several years. For now I would like to make a good place holder that I can add some light details to stand in and allow for operations and also track work can be completed soon. I am building and industrial building that will have several different roof lines no two walls will be the same. The building will be 18" wide and roughly 30" long. At its peak 12".

Detailing ConCor Passenger Coaches to VIA Rail
Just finished upgrading three N Scale ConCor passenger coaches to VIA Rail HEP. After removing the skirt and manufacturers markings I used a combination of several different MicroScale and Highball Graphics decal sets. 4107 is a ConCor Parlour car I configured as a VIA 1, unfortunately decals for this class are not available. When I find a good graphic or photo, I will create them.
Puff ball trees in HO scale
I have a question regarding making HO scale puff ball trees. My layout is 90% completed, but for the addition of many trees as found in central Wisconsin. In reading articles from MR and other sources, I have some idea what I need to do, but since I'll be needing a lot of trees, I'm looking for the best source of the poly fiber material in bulk and the foliage material to use ( Woodland Scenics?). I also need some input as to the best way to adhere the foliage as I've read a couple differing opinions. Can anyone help?

Starting My 80" x 18" Hollow Door Layout - The Apocalypse Railroad!
I Think It's Time to Start
"The Apocalypse Railroad"!
I've been messing around for many years now, planning this little switching layout, and do to the current climate in this country, and the World, I've decided if I don't get started on this now, it's never going to happen. I named this "The Apocalypse Railroad" for this very time and reason. I've planned and diddled long enough, and now it's time to choose a plan, and get building!... and fast!!

Track Nailing Tool
Does anyone have knowledge of and/or experience with track nailing tool? ...possible different tools, and usability??
I'm looking at laying track on both cork roadbed, and in some cases no roadbed on top of 3/4 plywood.
I had been considering (and still am) adhesive caulking products,...but I'm not so sure about their 'accuracy and time to cure' properties, ....and all the weighting needed.

Does anyone have any information regarding ..

Highland Railroad operations overview
Check out my latest video where we follow along with a typical operating session on the Highland. To keep the video short, I did not get into spotting every car; this is just an overview of each job during a session and it’s reason for being. Hope you enjoy it and thanks for watching!
