One of the recent gentlemen that's shown up to the club here in town has a 30X30 building behind the house that he and I are planning on sticking a double decker/partial mushroom design in. Prototype is Seaboard Coast Line, era is 1984 between the L&N absorption and CSX, and territory is the Birmingham to Manchester section covering Birmingham, Bessemer, Cosa Pine, Talladega, LaGrange and Manchester.

Hello everyone. I was curious what’s a good Scanner App? Dumb question: am I able to find local railroad frequencies or am I stuck just hearing 911 emergency dispatch?

I was wondering if there is a company out there that makes strip style decals in HO scale 2x4 and 6x8 and larger etc. in woodgrain? I am making grade crossings out of styrene and I would like to line the sides that come in contact with the rail or inside the rails with a single strip of distressed wood RR ties. I know there are other methods out there, but this is the direction I would like to explore first.

Hello: I am modeling the Kansas City Terminal Railway and am looking to create (ideally kitbash) several of their 0-6-0's, that had slope back tenders, using a commercially available HO scale model as a starting point, if possible. Here are a couple sample photos of one such prototype. Any tips you might have for available approximations of such a sloped tender would be greatly appreciated (including short-run models like brass). Thanks in advance for any comments.
