OS Omaha 2021
October 22-23-24 eleven layouts in Omaha hosted OS Omaha 2021. 38 participants came from all over the Midwest to operate on the layouts. Each person got to operate on 4 layouts, Friday night, Saturday morning and evening and Sunday morning. In addition there were about a dozen local helpers and another dozen local operators that filled vacancies in one or more sessions.
Loksound has sound, but no movement
I have 3 locomotives with Loksound decoders.

One stay alive for two decoders?
Is it possible to connect a single stay alive to two DCC decoders in the same locomotive?
For example, I am using a Tsunami2 decoder and want to add a TCS FL4 for additional lighting. I already have a TCS KA1 connected to the Tsunami. Space is at a premium, so I would like to use the same stay alive for both decoders if possible.
Thanks for the help,
Ryan
Requesting Engineer's Thoughts
Several MRH-ers have operated a variety of diesel locomotives as can be seen from these prototype threads. Some are still doing so and some have even run old iron horses.
Of those you've operated which ones come to mind as your preferred (or disliked) ride?
What engine do you like for over the road? Switching duties?
What qualities make for the one you like and/or the one you don't care for as much?
Second category of "I know an engineer and he once remarked..." included.

Modeling scenery with upholstery foam
I recently ran across some fantastic scenery (n scale mountains and rock cuts. I have searched the internet but I can't seem to find any info on how to use the stuff i.e. cutting strata and lines in the foam. Everything I have seen has to do with regular pink or blue foam nothing on upholstery foam.
Central Valley Bridge Tie Strips vs ME Bridge Track
I need some bridge track for two bridges I'm building for my layout. The manufacturer recommended Micro-Engineering Bridge Track has anyone had success using CVT bridge ties with their own rail? Code 83 rail in my case.
Thanks,
Lou N
Input requested from builders of foam board benchwork
I am examining the use of foam board in benchwork. This module is nominally 24” x 72” x 5” with a 72” center span and 24” cross members on 18” centers.
The boards are 2 x 3/16” laminated with Gorilla Wood glue (because that’s what I have).
Top will be 3 x 3/16” foam board.
Equipment is Bachmann On30.

A-line Twin Stacks, truck frames problem
On occasion yesterday I was inspecting one of the sets of container cars, and several of the trucks simply came apart in my hands. I thought perhaps MEK would glue things back together, but that was a negative.
