CNJ Industries

Starting some plans for a Jersey Central industrial layout. But I'm looking for more info on specific customers.

I have just about every book and video on the CNJ that I am aware of in existence. All the pics and videos have main line/yard/terminal pictures and clips, nothing of locals or anything else. Anyone out there have any other suggestions?

Going to search around historic aerials and see what I can find.

A-Track - Your DCC Buddy for NCE Systems – Start-Up Guide

A few queries, from new users who have downloaded and installed A-Track, revealed that my ‘Getting Started’ Tutorial and User Guide are not yet quite good enough – they might explain WHAT the A-Track application can do but, unfortunately, they don’t tell you HOW to start using the program. Hence this little guide (which will be incorporated in the next update to A-Track).

Radio for layout communications

Hi everyone,

It will soon be time to replace the radio system we have been using for layout communications & I was looking into the FRS style using add-on headsets that are now in use on many layouts. Before signing over the $$ for a new system I was wondering if anyone can tell me the good & bad experiences they've had using these. What pitfalls are there? What plusses?

Several things that come to mind are:

Low Profile Wheels for N Scale Locomotives

I am looking for low profile wheels for atlas VO 1000 and KATO RS-2  locomotives.  I have code 40 flex track on a portion of my layout.  My Kato NW-2 have no problems with this track.  Can someone tell me who manufacturers low profile wheel sets for those locomotives?

Thanks

Looking for cranes

I've been searching for some time for a model of a crane in ho scale that matches the attached picture. I have seen the one from Jordan Products, but being a steam driven crane isn't quite what I'm looking for. I had sourced something in the past, but lost my source due to a computer crash and have been pulling my hair out the last two days trying to find this. Anyone know where I can look? Needs to fit the 50s/60s.

Power Desk

It's about time I start blogging about my railroad modeling interests. I have the tendency to get started doing something (model railroading for instance) then after a few months, other things seem to draw me away for a while. So I may blog a few times a week, then go months without anything!

However, the nice thing for me is I just got involved with a very active model railroad group just a few miles away, and I'm sure I can draw some writing inspirations from this group.
