New lights added to my layout room.
So my layout is taking on a new life and has been started over. I have no usable space in my basement. So my layout is on the third floor. I had complaints before that the track lighting I had wer not enough. Well I added new lights. Its really not bad in the room and in fact you can see really good now. But if you go out side and look up at my house......Well lets just say I light up the neighbors yard.

Bachmann HO 2-6-0 driver diameter?
Could somebody with the Spectrum Bachmann 2-6-0 please measure the driver diameter for me? I am hoping that it is the same as the low boiler 4-6-0, so that I can replace some or all of the drivers. I like the counterweight style on the 2-6-0 a bit better, as it will be a little easier to modify for my purposes.
Anyone used .22 Rimshot nails to hold studs to concrete?
Hi,
Was wondering if anyone has used Rimshot(or other) .22 shell fired nails to put 2x4 studs on concrete walls. I hope to minimize legs this way. The benchwork at this time is planned to be between 8 and 16 inches deep, simple 1x4 or less framework to support 2" foam subroadbed. Was hoping to cantilever off the 2x4s to hold most of the weight, but an occaisional leg wouldn't bother me too much. Plan on going around the walls with a couple large free standing peninsulas.
Looking for steam loco drivers
Hi,
I am looking for 80" HO scale boxpok drivers for a GS-4 rebuild project.
I don't really care for the warranty option given by Bachmann for my early loco. Mind you, it is fair, I just don't like the option.
I'm hoping to use 3-d printing to replace the crummy split axles, but so far no follow up responses from the 3-d printer folks.
All of the usual folks either don't have them, stopped making/carrying.
Completed Grain Elevator
Well a week ago I figured I would be done with this in a couple days. Between being busy in real life and grossly underestimating the amount of work I had left, I just finished the grain elevator this evening. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. The silos, headhouse, and shed are still separate pieces until I fine-tune their location on the layout.

Yard Critique
Hey everyone, I am struggling on the design of my yard.... look this over and give me some suggestions. It is loosely based on Juniata / Conrail. Needs to handle 10ft trains, have engine service buildings, fuel and sand facilities and classify trains.
Does it work better with the mainline in the front or rear?
Thank you, sorry about the poor drawing but Autocad didn't create a PDF very well...

N. Brown Fruit Storage
Began working yesterday on a new scratch built structure - N. Brown Fruit Storage - which will be adjacent to the Parks Coal Shed. I have chosen to give this business a run down look, as it will soon be put out of business by the modern Georgian Bay Fruit Growers Co-operative building (which I have yet to model).
