The GP50 Does Work After All
However, it doesn't work consistently. Both lights come on, but I had to squeeze the frame halves together and it sometimes ran, other times did not. I got it to go back and forth on the sections of test track I put together.
So I know it works, but I think there is something wrong. I took the frame apart and put it back together with no joy.
I am now thinking that the brushes, which supply power from the trucks to the frame are dirty or bad. I can clean them, but I can't get the trucks themselves apart.

Just got this in the mail Saturday. It's a GP38-2 in need of a power chassis. I was thinking of using the Auto Torque Transmission I've developed.

Prototype rules for model railroads - what are your rules?
Based on this discussion [ http://model-railroad-hobbyist.com/node/17270 ] I thought I'd pose the question...
What rules does your model railroad operate under?
Please don't critique other people rules, just share your rules so people can get an idea of what operation restrictions are, and what kinds of things they can adopt.
I'm not suggesting that you need to have rules, but if you want to apply any, you need to know what kind of options are out there.
