Some Advice Needed on Benchwork

Hello all,

I am currently finalizing the plan for my future layout. It's not completely finalized yet, but the benchwork will be something along the lines of this configuration:

I would like to use foam as a subroadbed across the entire layout. Is this feasable?

Also, what construction should I use to support it? L-girders, frame, etc.

Need Some Arduino/LED Help

In my blog, on page 19, I describe a lighting project I'm working on.

As can be seen from code and description, 14 LEDs will be used, with two on each of seven pins. Assuming 18-20 mA each with a 470 ohm resistor per pair, this would exceed the 200 mA total for board. As I am anything but an electronic whiz, what would be the minimum resistor I would need to drop total amperage below that total?

Need some info

Does anyone know if the new style Athearn SD40-2 power trucks (ATHG63912) will still fit the old Blue Box SD40-2 frame?

NEW Athearn HO Scale Power Truck/HTC. SD40-2/40T-2/45T-2 (1) ATHG63912

Don't want to waste my money if they don't fit.

Thanks

Greg

German Railway Guns

Just ran across this video, ....pretty well done.
https://youtu.be/jmzFx7cfu7Y

I went to high school in Aberdeen MD, home of Aberdeen Proving Grounds. There was one of these German guns there at the time.  I think I may even have a model of one of these some where in my inventory.
