Trainmaster (H-24-66) DCC Sound
I have an Atlas Trainmaster silver series. I would like to try my hand at installing a sound decoder. I am having difficulty locating a sound decoder manufacturer that has a sound file for the Trainmaster. Most indicate a switcher or C-Liner sound file.
H0 Layout: Logging at the Turn of the 20th Century
Hello!
Last year I had to dismantle my previous layout, Steam Era. You can see it here:

Progress Update
At the beginning of the month of August, I got stuck with how to wire the LED panels for both the 4 Bluepoint manual turnout controllers and the two panels (one on each side of the peninsula) that I needed for the 2 Tortoise turnout controllers. With the help of several MRH subscribers pointing me in the right direction, I was able to get that task completed as shown in my previous blog posting. This posting will show progress made on the construction of the support structure for the main level of my layout.

Need a new smokebox front for a Mantua 0-4-0?
I'm working on yet another project to improve my skills in Sketchup and test the abilities of Shapeways. I need a smokebox front for a Mantual 0-4-0, so I drew one.
If anybody needs one, I've made them available on Shapeways, with or without holes for handrails and number plates.
Will this look stupid?
I am trying to decide if this will look appropriate with the mainline track going under the tipple chute. The tipple chute will go into a backdrop.
I also raised the tipple foundation to fit locos under it. I understand that this is not a prototypical way to do it but I am trying to maximize space and have trains pull through the tipple.
Please see the attached photos.
Any input is greatly appreciated. I can take constructive criticism.
Thanks,
James

Michael Rose's tree flocking - Videos and a visit
Yesterday was my birthday (August 28th) and I had a wonderful day with the highlight being a visit to Michael Rose’s home to see the progress on his layout along with details on finishing his excellent twisted wire trees. The Mrs. and I started the day with a ride on the new Sunrail commuter train to the DeBary station near Michael’s home. He was waiting for us when we arrived (on time!) and took us the short distance to his home.
Our first stop was his layout where I took a couple pictures:
A ballast pit for the HBR
As construction has progressed on the Flin Flon Subdivision work recently has focused on getting the lower staging (northern destinations) up and running prior to starting work on the Flin Flon smelter area which will be immediately above the lower staging. Taking a break from the staging work, I decided to give the “switch to nowhere” at Flin Flon Junction a destination.

Maryborough Layout
My former Model Railway Club, Australian Model Railway Association, Victorian Branch, Has built several excellent Portable Exhibition Layouts over the years most of which I had something to do with the construction and operation. The latest is a HO scale model of Maryborough Station on the Victorian Railways Broad Gauge network. Maryborough is a Regional town of about 8000 people in Central Victoria 140 Miles from Melbourne.

Atlas S2 DCC Decoder Install
Tonight I completed my first DCC decoder install. I am planning a small inglenook switching layout and wanted to go DCC with it. I bought an NCE PowerCab system but I don't own any DCC locomotives. I have a couple of Digitrax decoders that I bought a while ago but the locomotive I wanted to use for my switching layout is my old Atlas/Roco S2 switcher. I discovered that NCE makes a board replacement decoder for it so I ordered it up.
