CCT Lodi in large scale

Hi, I'm new to this forum and here looking for some thoughts, ideas and suggestions please?

I'm thinking of constructing a small, large scale (1:29th) indoor switching layout based around the fruit packing lead in Lodi, on the CCT. A long time ago I watched a video of a geep squeezing round the tight corners of Tokay St (?) with some mechanical reefers and I thought that I would love to model that railroad someday!

Blue Point Turnout Controller for Two Switches at Once?

Is it possible for a Blue Point manual turnout controller to move two switches at once? I have a crossover between mains and I'd like to use a single knob on the fascia to move both. I'm writing because it appears not but I thought someone may have actual experience with one.

The Porter 0-4-0T Twins - Ready for Revenue Service

After some delays and time away from the workbench dealing with 1:1 stuff, the twins are finally completed and have begun revenue service on the Estrella & Sonora Grande RR:

Here are Number 3 (the 'Rattler') and #4 (the 'Sidewinder') pausing side by side in Apache Wells.

More photos to come in a follow up post, to avoid wrapping the whole group with every page of this blog.

Atlantic and Great Western Operation Lifesaver commercial

That's going to leave a mark. The Atlantic and Great Western teams up with the Wisconsin State Police to film and Operation Lifesaver commercial. Every 90 seconds a car and train collide.

De-Railing Mystery

A while ago I purchased a second hand HO Kato SD 40-2 and converted it to DCC.  Following the conversion it was running beautifully on my layout.  This surprised me a bit as it has 6 wheel trucks and my layout (in a small room) has some fairly tight curves and a number of those have turnouts incorporated in them.

Rapid prototyping question

I have some questions regarding using rapid prototyping printers to make a HO scale locomotive shell. What I would like to produce would be the car body of a PRR E-44 electric from the walkways up only. The existing Bachman E-33 would provide the frame/drive walkway section and handrails. The only difference between the two locomotives walkway down is the  number of steps leading up to walkway . The E-33 has 3 the E-44 has 4. The E-44 also had dummy mu receptacles on the end handrails .Some minor underbody details are different but these can easily be changed.

Richlawn RR V2 - Palmer structure interior / office

When the overhead door is open on the Palmer building the interior will be revealed so I added some detail to make the view more pleasing.  This is a work in process but I wanted to share what I've done thus far.

Here's the view from a distance:

Arduino Based DCC Control of 8 Relays

There was a discussion on this forum the other day about using DCC to activate or deactivate track segments.  The simplest way to do this with DCC is to toggle relays on or off to supply or cut power to these segments.

A good bit of work has been done recently on using Arduino based DCC decoders and I felt that this was a logical extension of the work that has been done to date.

Replacement MT Couplers

Has anyone replaced the short custom couplers of Kato Japanese EMU units with MT ones?

Research suggests that the MT model MT-7 / 001 30 012 / 1128 couplers may be suitable.  Can anyone confirm this for me please?

Programing DCC block watcher with JMRI ?

Can I program a "DCC Block Watcher" (block detector) using a JMRI computer interface and how can that be done? I am a bit of a novice when it comes to programing cvc's. The only thing I've done in that vein is assign train numbers. I am using an MRC Prodigy Advance2  system.
