Fun with a shelf?

I have come across some absolutely amazing looking small shelf layouts. The detail is top notch, design is great.....

Then I start to wonder, for those who actually own and operate these small shelf layouts how enjoyable they are, and how long the fun lasts?  To me and only my personality it seems they will get stale fast?

So for those with them, how does the fun hold up?

New TCS in-throttle consisting concerns

The new in-throttle consisting with the TCS throttles sounds handy but it also seems to bring with it some concerns.

Adding more details/weathering - Relay Cabinets

Added a Alexander Scale Models - Relay Cabinet to the triple head mast at Carlisle Junction today, then weathered with Tamiya - Black Panel Line Accent.

Adding a second NCE throttle panel to the layout for shows

NCE PowerCab hammerhead basic system

I am building a small potable layout and would like to duplicate the throttle panel on the back so the layout can be used in ether direction, me standing at the back looking out at shows or standing at the front looking in when at home. I have no intention in moving around from the front to rear location or using a second controller.

Thanks

RR-CirKits Users?

Hey all,

I'm curious if there are very many users of components from RR-CirKits?  I don't find any support groups on Facebook or groups.io.  I have used mainly Digitrax components in the past for detection, driving turnouts, and signals, but I am considering implementing some of the RR-CirKits components (I've already installed a couple of their WatchMan detection boards) and was wanting to find some support groups to bounce ideas off of.

Thanks,

Vallejo Paint Case

Vallejo paints are now my go to choice for use in my modeling. Used together with Joe’s High Performance thinner and Acrylic painting handbook I have been able to achieve excellent coverage and finish on my models.

I now have over 60 bottles of Vallejo paint and keeping them organized was becoming a problem. Also, it would be very beneficial to be able to rotate them to keep the pigment from settling to the bottom. I was looking at the traditional paint racks available and while some are very nice, they would all take up a lot of workbench space.

A seriously expensive question……..

Many times while constructing modern electronic circuits using integrated circuit chips we are instructed to wear a ground strap around our wrist.  This is to discharge any static electricity in our body to earth ground preventing any damage to these chips.

Introducing Arduino Railway Control for DC railroads

I wanted to introduce you to something I stumbled upon a few years ago while looking for a better way to control and operate my DC layout.
