Hey all,

I'm curious if there are very many users of components from RR-CirKits?  I don't find any support groups on Facebook or groups.io.  I have used mainly Digitrax components in the past for detection, driving turnouts, and signals, but I am considering implementing some of the RR-CirKits components (I've already installed a couple of their WatchMan detection boards) and was wanting to find some support groups to bounce ideas off of.

Thanks,

If you are looking at their

If you are looking at their LCC stuff, then there's a lot of support in the LCC groups.io.

Our club is just getting started with their LCC stuff so we're just learning as well.

Contact Dick

You could always try to contact Dick Bronson at rr-circuits, he is very responsive, at least in the LCC group. So I  would expect the same via email, may take a little longer depending on how many messages he gets.

A Satisfied user of their products

I have a LOT of their SSB products (MotorMan, TowerMan, WatchMan, and SignalMan) as well as several of their other products. Dick is very responsive to both questions and problems. When I've emailed him with questions, he's always gotten back to me with answers - always complete and informative.

Yes, I haven't had a chance

Yes, I haven't had a chance to talk to him directly, but multiple club members have and he is always helpful and willing to get on a call and work through things.

I have both lines of stuff

All their stuff is great.  If you already have loconet then using the ssb is easy as it is just loconet on 3 wires.

Their LCC seems nice also, but I have only done signals so far, but they are also good.

I am happy with all their stuff.

@scott_walton

Hey are you the same Scott Walton from Anderson, In?  If so you and i have traded some emails about building turnouts!  I may ping some of my questions to you if you don't mind.

I have emailed Dick a few

I have emailed Dick a few questions but haven't hear back yet.  It's not urgent, but in the past he had replied within a day and it's been probably 5 or 6 days so I'm just trying to be patient - I'm sure he is busy and he may be on vacation who knows!

@jim b. - when you say 'LCC Group', what are you referring to?

Thanks,

Steve

What is this RR-CirKit?

What is this RR-CirKit you speak of.  Is it something I might need to spend money on?

Thanks for the link Jim B. As

Thanks for the link Jim B.

As it is, I do have an older Chief Digitrax system I plan to use with a couple of TCS Throttles.

Can you briefly explain what the RR-CirKits may be of use to me?

Block detection and switches

Block detection and switches controlled from DCC (or LCC)

Thanks for the brief

Thanks for the brief explanation.  I'm currently planning on manual operation of almost all switches to keep wiring and costs down for now.  But if things change, I'll bookmark this.  I may eventually get the TCS Command Station which IIRC uses  LLC.
