I need to get to the lower motor wire lead to put a new wire in - because i cut it off and did not realize it
Thanks in advance
Cab interiors - color?
I'm the midst of painting a NW/NS C39-8 as originally delivered. (In fact, I'm aiming for 8551, which was one of the two C39-8 prototypes, apparently bought by NS.) The model has a cab with details. What colors should they be painted?
I've never been in a modern GE. I know that older C&O Geeps have a "hospital green" interior, and I have a picture of a N&W T-6 cab that was kind of cream colored for the most part. But in general this is something I've never, ever thought about before!

IAIS's West End - UP's Pool Yard
It was recently suggested that I break down my blog entries by topic or location to make them easier to find, since my original blog on the Iowa Interstate's West End at http://model-railroad-hobbyist.com/node/9031 is getting a bit large and cumbersome. This post marks the beginning of my move in that direction.

Surroundtraxx Response to Dave B
I have had my Surroundtraxx operational for some time now. Being an N Scaler, I am pleased and excited with the addition to my layout. Not everyone flavors sound but I do. It adds to the depth of operating and for me, adds to the realism of running my trains. It provides each locomotive with its own character.
Detailing HO scale commuter equipment...Part Two
The second part of this project was an Atlas AEM-7 factory painted for Septa that needed to have details added/corrected. I was also simultaneously working on my own NJ Transit ALP44 correcting some of the detail discrepancies.
Detailing HO scale commuter equipment
Over the past couple of months I've been working on and off on a few detailing projects for myself and a friend of mine. First up is a Walthers Horizon cab car factory painted for Septa that I detailed for my friend.

Condo/Loft with a model railroad: shelving/benchwork assembly
My continuing blog about building a small switching layout in a condo/loft space, this entry I begin with the production/construction process of my Ontario South Central Railroad. Previous entries including great help and responses from other MRH readers can be found here:

Help Please - Layout design
She who must be obeyed has agreed an extension to my small room layout. As can be seen in the drawing & photo below, (apologies for wonky tracks but I am still getting to grips with Scarm) the extension measures approximately 7 ft x 18”. The extension is sitting in the back corner of the room and 2ft of the extension will be in the room closet with a small hole in the wall to allow the tracks to pass through.

Kato N scale Mikado
I have just purchased a used N scale Kato Mikado but the box is missing the parts sheet. I am about to install a decoder and would like to see the exploded view. It appears that Kato does not put them on line. If anyone could provide me with a copy, I would be grateful.
Thanks C P Doug
