Looking for suggestions!

This is my first attempt at designing a control panel. Looking for feedback on design, layout and functionality.

SCL =Standard Car Length.

The printed card will be covered with plexiglass. The mainline crossover turnouts (1 & 6) will be wired to a single switch to throw both turnouts together.

Dumpster Weathering

I am a big user of images found online for my modeling. I am in search of roll on/off dumpsters that look like they have been used. Do you have any pictures to share. I am trying to weather 6 of Walthers green dumpsters and have been unable to find used pictures on line either via Google or DuckDuckGo.com searching. Most of what I have found seem to be publicity shots. Looking for real world stuff. Thanks. Tom

removable industrial switching area over hidden class yard lead?

I cruised the forums and didn't find much relevant to this, so a few thoughts from y'all would be helpful.

I have room to add a several track active classification yard, about 8' long. Conventional wisdom would have an 8' lead serving it.

So how much grief would I cause myself by having the most distant 6' of that yard lead hidden under an industrial switching area?

31 || Scenery Experiments || Part One

This Episode is Part One of my new video series "Scenery Experiments". In this video series, I am going to attempt to weather my structures, add grass, foliage and trees, and include figures and other small details.

Workshop Tip: For fast-penetrating scenery glue for coarse materials without alcohol prep, use Armor-All Glass Cleaner

I conducted a series of experiments recently to determine if I could develop a scenery adhesive that would not require the use of alcohol as a preparatory step to reduce the surface tension of granular materials, while having a minimal number of ingredients. For these experiments, I prepared scenery material samples of three types:

GLASS CLEANER FOR WETTING AGENT?

With the low supply of alcohol these days I have been looking for an alternative for a wetting agent for ballasting and scenery.  In the past I have used Windex glass cleaner to thin latex paint for air brushing.  Thought I would give it a try for ballasting when I ran out of IPA.  Seem to work pretty well.  Has anyone else tried it?

Figuring out the tree locations so that I can finish the ground cover

For my next video, I am working on adding some trees.

Now that I know the locations that I want the trees, I am going to go back and add more details to the ground cover before gluing in the trees.

Show us your roundhouses and turntables...

Extra credit for scratchbuilding and prototype inspiration!

Please list manufacturers as well.
