Hello, I'd like to show a product I hope to get out to all those that were looking for this, an HO SW1001. I give you the RDG/CR/NS/CSXT version of the SW1001. Two shell types are available, one with the radiator open(to use etched metal for this) and one without. The photos are of the one with the non open radiator areas. Thoughts?

My freelance road is the River Run, based in Ohio in the mid 1970s. The full name of the railroad is the River Run, Coshocton, and Southern. My main route is Cleveland to Zanesville. I came up with the concept back in the 1970s before NW sold the line to Jerry Jacobson and his Ohio Central.

I am aware of the split gear issues with the older blue box P2K locomotives, but I have several that have been stored for many years and I plan to utilize them on the layout that is in the design phase. What can one do to clean the motor when the lubrication turns to the "peanut butter" substance without an all out replacement of the motor?

I'm converting my roster to Loksound and adding ditch lights and strobe beacons as needed while I have everything opened up.  However, when it comes to my Athearn Genesis units that already have factory ditch lights, I'm having a harder time convincing myself to swap the bulbs for LEDs, as I've never had a problem with the bulbs, and I was thinking it'd be so easy to just swap boards and go.  BUT...I forgot about the possible need for resistors.
