I came across this video of travk being pulled up to be replaced. Its amazing how much more rigid our 'flextrack' is than the prototype!

What are typical industries for receiving cryogenic tank cars with liquefied gases?

Routing for cars.

Who or what determines the route a car will take? Did a railroad have much control to keep traffic on its lines and friendly connections?

I have just picked up a copy of Global Railway Review. The July 2019 issue. The feature article focusses on infrastructure in Slovenia. Jo, my wife, and I travelled to Slovenia in 2006 and stayed in Bled. Reading the article in Global Railway Review brought back memories of that holiday.

San Luis and Rio Grande Speed

Hi folks:

Does anyone have a reference as to what the track speed for the san luis and Rio Grande is?  I cant seem to locate it --

I realize the track is in poor condition, so it may not be keeping listed speed, but I need a starting point to work from

Interesting warehouse track arrangement

Poking around prototype industries on google maps I came across this warehouse.  It's off the north side of the CSX ex B&A main through Springfield, MA.

A car handling question

In 1979, what were the car placement and handling requirements of propane tank cars on a local turn? 

We have a club member insisting that an idler car be used between the locomotive and the tank car at all times, whether in switching operations or in transit.  Actually, he wants to place a designated idler car at the industry.

Monaco to La Turbie in France

The Rack Railway between Monte Carlo (Monaco) and La Turbie in the South of France has now long gone. It used to take tourists from the coast at Monte Carlo to La Turbie on the Grande Corniche:
