First Question:
I'm looking for the proper word/name/whatever one would use to describe these two dead-end track spurs that my long locos would go to prior to their backing down thru that dbl-slip turnout to escape that end of the peninsula? Is there a particular name would utilize in 'switching parlance??

Just happened across this very well done animated video of modern day electric steel making,....following posting. I suspect there will be more?

  Costco stores have 4 foot twin tube LED shop lights on sale for $17.99 . They are 4000 lumens, 4000K temp ,ready to hang with plug and chains and screw hooks.  I swapped out the last of my workshop fluorescent lights with them  today and bought a couple extra  units  in case I ever want to add some more to my train room. I installed similar units in my layout room a couple of years ago and have been very happy with them. The current sale price is the lowest I've seen them over the last two years or so .....DaveB

Ok, I started my own thread for this layout design. Here is the drawing. Now, All I need to do, is figure where I can add another loop, by adding an elevation on risers. I am open for ideas, and methods.

This may be the only layout I get for the rest of my life. @65 yrs old, I am well past my mid point in life...
