SteinJR passes away
Sadly, it has come as a shock to me, very unexpected, but via another website http://www.the-gauge.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=6049 , I found out that Steinjr, from Norway, author of some great trackplans in MRH, and advisor to many with trackplan questions, or other modeling topics, has passed away suddenly, age 47 , leaving behind his wife and young children.

Frisco PB Tower: Revisited
So I've been monkeying around with this project using it to learn how to better use my laser cutter. Much progress has been made, as I climb each learning curve.

Surroundtraxx Up and Running

I have just been reading a number of blogs, mostly past time and would lie to comment. Some question the cost, it beats buy loco and decoders ($125 + $120 x6).
I have a 12 x 15 N scale layout with a dozen locos, sound is terrible to impossible for N scalers. I recently switched from HO to N.
Micro-Fastener Index Toolbox
So I sat down to a long project of putting together a box containing five spectrum steam locomotives, each a different make. It was a wonderful Ebay find, the price was GREAT. As i try to find screws, I'm discovering some are just out of stock to the point that I can't get anymore.
I was up at Roy's Trains and he has the micro fastener index sitting there and I realize it would be wonderful to have something like that on my bench...and that thought has since evolved into this project!

CITY OF INDUSTRY LAYOUT Project 02-12
Here is my second project, and it is a departure from my previous plan to begin design on the MP/TP operations in New Orleans, namely the Race St. Yard, and Annunciation St. Passenger Terminal, with some of the surrounding industry which the railroad served, i am still in the very rough planning stage for it still gathering information and maps and photographs of the area for the time period during the war and just afterward, pre-NOUPT era.
