Arduino based speed or light controller

This is an Arduino program that provides high speed pulse width modulation suitable (with appropriate electronic drivers) to control LEDS, lamps, DC motors and DC locos. So far I have tested it with LEDs and a small DC motor. I invite those so inclined to try it and point out the bugs and suggest improvements. (There's more than one way to code a cat.)

DCC Change

To All: I have been operating with a Super Chief DCC System by Digitrax for a number of years now.

I seem to have problems with the system every time I use it!.I have come to the end. I am going

try out NCE's Pro Cab starter system and see if their system suits me better. I have no reason

Replacement wheels

I have had a pair of Athearn PA-1's converted to DCC with the sound unit in the A Dummy. However, that engine has the normal plastic wheels which run okay, but I'd like to convert them to steel ones. What are the sizes of these wheels? Does anyone make a replacement? Can I rob wheels from some other derelict engine?

I know they are not standard 33 (freight) or 36 (passenger) wheels, but have no way of measuring them against any list in the various catalogs. Am I stuck with these or can they be replaced with steel ones? Thanks, in advance, for your input.

SW1200RS & SWEEP projects

I've been building a pair of CP SW1200RS units.  The bodies are painted, and I've embarked upon the work of converting the sideframes on a P2K switcher drive.

LAYOUT EDITOR DISPATCHER PANEL

This video will demonstrate working with key parts of the layout editor panel for my railroad.  I am fixing it so the dispatcher can follow the train around layout by ID number or train ID.  One of three videos I have on You Tube Channel on JMRI LAYOUT EDITOR

Unknown manufacturer help please!

I downloaded a pix from a website of a really cool O scale assortment of woodworking tools.  What I didn't do is to also save the link to where I found this assortment.  If any of you recognize this item please let me know, I really would like to order it.  Thanks in advance for any help.  Russ

Construction of the Second Spline Helix Part 1

UPDATED on 13 May:  A couple of months ago I started to integrate the first spline helix (described in my previous blog entries) into the hidden staging level of the layout.  After a couple of weeks, I was ready to continue building the center peninsula from the first 8 foot section that I had finished out to its full length of 18 1/2 feet.  It was then that I realized that if I did that, then I wouldn't have any room to build the second spline helix.  Thus I stopped what I was doing and started on the second helix.
